Stanford Law School and Sok Xing & Hwang Meet Again to Discuss Cambodia’s Legal Landscape

On 19 September 2016, Sok Xing & Hwang received a delegation from Stanford Law School, the United States, headed by Professor Erik Jensen Director of the school’s Rule of Law Program. This was a follow-up by Stanford Law after their visit with the firm in March, earlier this year. The delegation again inquired into opportunities for potential collaboration with Sok Xing & Hwang, and also sought advice in the broader field of law and legal practice in Cambodia.

Mr. Hans Hwang, Senior Director of Sok Xing & Hwang, discussed prospects for Stanford Law School to provide legal assistance and gain experience and insight into Cambodia’s legal landscape, including potential opportunities in connection with the firms’ Public Policy & Development Impact practice.  The PPDI practice, which operates alongside in complement with the firm’s private commercial practice, helps Sok Xing & Hwang’s clients – government, private sector, international development agencies and NGOs – meet their public policy and development objectives. Work is focused on the practice’s key areas of strength: governance, economic growth, corporate partnerships and regional integration.
