Additional Working Hours of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training Announced

On 26 April 2024, the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (the “MoLVT”) issued the Notification No. 13 on the Additional Working Hours of the MoLVT to further increase its support and professional responsiveness to the demand of the enterprises and establishments in Cambodia through enhanced legal consultation, receipt of complaints and interventions related to the implementation of laws and regulations in the field of labor and social security. The additional working hours of MoLVT are as follows:
  • 30 minutes early in the morning, starting at 7:00 AM;
  • additional 5 hours in the afternoon, from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM; and
  • 2 (two) more days on weekends, Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 10:30 PM.
At the same time, the MoLVT also has a working group to respond and provide information through the hotline number "1292" or "1286", working 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. In addition to this, there is also telegram group (https://t.me/EmployerChat) for the employer or (https://t.me/KhmerWorkerChat) for the employee.
