Determination of Minimum Wage for Workers/Employees in Textile, Garment, Footwear, Travel Goods and Bag Industries for 2025
Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, on 20 September 2024, issued Prakas No. 211 on Determination of Minimum Wage for Workers/Employees in the Textile, Garment, Footwear, Travel Goods and Bag Industries ("Industries") for 2025 ("Prakas").
According to this Prakas, the new official minimum wage for 2025 for all official workers/employees in the Industries will be increased to USD 208 per month, and for probationary workers, it will be increased to USD 206 per month. The other benefits that have previously been provided to the workers remain intact. This new official minimum wage for the Industries shall take effect on 01 January 2025.
