Private Sector Employers Represented at ILO 16th Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting
On 6 – 9 December 2016, Mr. Sok Lor participated the ILO 16th Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting, which brought together over 350 Government ministers, representatives of workers’ and employers’ organizations, and academics from throughout Asia. Held in Bali, Indonesia, the forum discussed regional world-of-work priorities and the ILO’s vision for realizing decent work from 2016 to 2021.
On behalf of Cambodia’s private sector employers and business associations and in his capacity as CAMFEBA Secretary General, he supported the Bali Declaration that sets out the vision. He further informed the forum that, despite hiccups at times, Cambodia’s industrial relations has been maturing at remarkable pace. Cambodia’s private sector employees look forward to performing its part to support the Bali Declaration by promoting decent work as part of the strategy for sustainable development.
