SXH Provides Insights on Grievance Resolution in Cambodia’s Garment Industry in the Context of HREDD Regulations

In related news, on 24 January 2024, at the invitation of the ILO-Better Factories Cambodia programme and GIZ-FABRIC Cambodia, SXH Senior Director Hans S. Hwang an industry expert shared his insights on grievance resolution at the forum “Towards Collaboration for Effective Grievance Mechanisms in Cambodia’s Garment Industry” organized at the Hyatt Regency in Phnom Penh.

The forum brought together stakeholders across the supply chain including senior representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training and Ministry of Commerce, representatives from brands, factories, unions, NGOs, and international development agencies. The aim was to collectively explore and advocate for effective grievance mechanisms, fostering trust within the global supply chain landscape against the background of implementation of Human Rights and Environment Due Diligence regulations, aka HREDD regulations, in Germany and pending adoption of such regulations in other European countries and by the European Union.
