Sok Xing & Hwang Managing Director Helps Enterprises Prepare Issues and Recommendations to MOLVT
Mr. Sok Lor, SXH Managing Director, helps enterprises at the meeting of the Private Sector Working Group on Industrial Relations, aka 8th Working Group, to prepare the issues and recommendations to the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training. At the meeting, Mr. Sok Lor being the official member of the group as well as an experienced legal practitioner, assisted the attendees through the clarification and elaboration of issues and recommendations at both the level of proposed amendments to labor law as well as the regulatory services and practices of the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training.
Held on 27 September 2023 and chaired by Dr. Nang Sothy at offices of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, the Private Sector Working Group meeting brought together a broad spectrum of attendees, ranging from business associations and enterprises in a diversity of sectors, to discuss and elaborate issues and prepare recommendations in connection with provisions and actual implementation of labor law and the development of industrial relations in Cambodia. The issues and recommendations, aimed at improving the implementation of and compliance with labor law as well as overall economic efficiency, are to be raised to the Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, who is the Government’s Co-Chair of the Working Group for resolution and in preparation for the summit Government-Private Sector Forum which is expected to be chaired by the Prime Minister of Kingdom of Cambodia in November 2023.
