Seniority Indemnity Regulations Demystified

The multi-level structures of seniority indemnity regulations (in the form of 2018 amendment to Labor Law, Prakas 043 on Seniority Indemnity, and Instruction No. 42 of Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training), combined with the segregated treatments based on business sectors, have no doubt led to significant complexity for employers in general to apprehend and implement. On 30 April 2019 at Raffles Hotel Le Royal, Mr. Sok Lor, Managing Director of Sok Xing & Hwang, demystified the complexity of the regulation by giving a presentation and Q&A on the regulations to approximately 120 participants from a broad spectrum of business sectors.
