Sok Xing & Hwang Managing Director Speaks at ASEAN Regional Employers Workshop
The advent of the ASEAN Economic Community, launched in December 2015, has presented ample potential promises for growth and prosperity within the ASEAN region as a result of the region’s relatively low labor costs and large pool of dynamic young working population, natural resources, among other advantages. At the same time, the regionalization process to establish a common ASEAN market has also brought about greater challenges in labor mobility, diversity, inclusion, and social protection.
On 09 May 2016, Mr. Sok Lor, Managing Director of Sok Xing & Hwang, participated as expert panelist at the ASEAN Regional Employers Workshop, hosted by Cambodian Federation of Employers and Business Association in Siem Reap, the ancient capital of Cambodia. Speaking before representatives of employers from the ten ASEAN countries, Mr. Sok Lor underscored the importance of entrepreneurial innovations that embrace labor diversity and inclusion in order to gain greater business competitiveness.
