Navigating Legal Process and Securing Tax Incentives: SXH Assists in Setting Up Cutting-Edge Garment Factory
In a meticulous undertaking to set up a cutting-edge garment factory, SXH, renowned for its expertise in industrial development, has assisted its client to navigate through the complex legal and regulatory processes to ensure a seamless and compliant establishment in Kandal Province, Cambodia. Located in KMH Park 2 on National Road 2, the factory Justin Allen (Cambodia) Garment Manufacturing Co., Ltd, expects to create over 2,300 jobs.
The legal process of establishing the garment factory involves a multifaceted approach, encompassing land acquisition, environmental clearances, factory operation licenses, labor laws compliance, and adherence to fire prevention and safety standards. SXH’s Sr. Associate Peou Putheavy, who led the legal team under the guidance of SXH Managing Director Sok Lor, emphasized the importance of compliance. Putheavy stated "We are committed to adhering to all legal requirements, ensuring that our client’s garment factory operates within the framework of the law and contributes positively to the creation of good quality jobs, improvement of living standards for Cambodian people, and enhancement of Cambodian economy through the injection of funds by investors from overseas.”

SXH team was engaged to assist with the project due to a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape in Cambodia, liaising closely with government agencies to secure the necessary permits and approvals, including securing of tax and custom incentives through acquisition of Qualified Investment Project status from the Council for the Development of Cambodia and the General Department of Custom and Excise.
